Take control, bring balance to your life
and gain an overall sense of wellbeing

What can you expect?

At your initial session, an assessment of your current needs will be completed. The assessment will help establish what your immediate treatment needs are, and also to ascertain whether coaching or therapy would be more suitable for you. Following your assessment, you and your therapist/coach will collaboratively set your treatment goals and plan the content of treatment.

Treatment sessions are structured, and generally involve reviewing previous sessions and associated learning, as well as deciding the key themes for discussion. You will likely be required to complete between session work designed to support your progress and this will be routinely reviewed and used as part of your treatment as this is where useful learning takes place.

You and your therapist will discuss your specific difficulties and set goals for you to achieve. CBT is not a quick fix. It requires dedication and commitment both during and between sessions. Feedback and challenge will always be supportive so that you can start making the changes you want to make. Your therapist will not tell you what to do. Instead they will help you decide what difficulties you want to work on in order to help you make progress. Your therapist will be able to advise you on how to continue using CBT techniques in your daily life after your treatment ends.
