CBT for addiction helps individuals explore, recognise, and adapt the patterns of thinking and behaviour that may be maintaining many forms of addictive behaviours. CBT has been found to be effective when helping people manage and overcome addictive behaviours, particularly in relation to managing trigger situations and develop alternatives strategies and skills to deal with these. Examples of addictions we would work with are; food, substance misuse.
